Kids’ Camera Camp - Summer 2021
At the special request of my daughter Julia, I’ll be hosting a Kids’ Camera Camp this summer. Read on below for details and/or to register! Registration closes July 28th.
August 4th, 5th, and 6th
1pm - 3:30pm
$125 • limited to 8 campers
This summer at Kids’ Camera Camp, we will learn all about photography - from the history of how and when the first cameras were created, basic camera operation, an introduction to composition and lighting, and how to think creatively and develop an “eye” for photography!
This camp is designed for students entering first through third grade. No experience or equipment required! If your child has a camera of any kind, please have them bring it to camp. If they do not have a camera; don’t worry! I have several cameras that will be shared among campers as we practice. Each student will also receive a disposable film camera (included in the cost of camp).
Campers will have the opportunity to try a variety of cameras hands-on - we will be practicing each day by taking LOTS of photos as we talk about and learn different concepts and different styles of photography. Photos from camp will be shared with families daily, and our last day of camp will include a student-led portrait session - all digital images taken at camp will be available to download and save after camp is complete.
Camp will take place at my home, in Terrace Park.
